2007 Open Day

We had a record turn out this year with more than 1,000 visitors evenly split over the two days.

One reason, (other than the Spike being such a fascinating building), for the huge turn out was the regular stops made by the Shuttle Bus.  It would often disgorge 20 or more visitors at a time.  A great success and thank you to Guildford Borough Council for allowing the detour.

Whilst waiting visitors could read up on the Spike and Charlotteville History

Having a Community Centre right next door meant that visitors could wait in comfort for their guided tour.  Last year the builders were still in and all had to gather outside in the park.
One of the 100 or so tour groups that were taken around the Spike during the weekend.  At one point we had 4 tours running at the same time, the M25 of heritage centres.
