And what a brilliant night it was with over sixty guests with some there for the quiz many there for the food and most there for both.

So good in fact that none of us remembered to take a picture!

The quiz master was Ian Downs, Downsy from Eagle FM the local radio station and what a brilliant job he did controlling an over excited audience, after all they had all been encouraged to try the four types of Schnapps on offer.

Kristina Rajhona one of our resident Hungarians cooked the Goulash and everyone had seconds.  This was followed by Cream Puffs with a hot chocolate sauce and coffee.

There were two quizzes the first was a picture quiz where, during the reception, guests had to answer questions relating to pictures around the room.

The main quiz had seventy very tricky questions with every tenth question having a Hungarian theme:

What did Attila the Hun die of?

What is Hungarian Ede Teller famous for?

A very tough quiz and the winners with 41.5 points were Annie Judge's team followed very closely on 38 by Margaret Burgess' team winners of the HTAG quiz last year at the same venue.
