2007 Pancake Day

Tuesday

13th February 2007 at 11:00am

The BEST EVER Guildford Pancake Race

(despite having a strange red dragon on the rampage)

Hosted by the Charlotteville Jubilee Trust and held again in the High Street

A Charity event to collect money for our new community centre at the Spike

and for Guildford Action for Community Care

Well it all came together on the day although we had been threatened with a pancake shortage.  Thanks to powers of 96.4 the Eagle the day was saved thanks to Tesco who came in with some ready made pancakes  and Sainsbury who came up with some batter mix.

Lucky again with the weather this year and with the great support of our sponsors:
Lampard and Partners, Ringway Group, Guildford Borough Council, Gerrard, Waterstones, Tony Scott (Guilfest), Toni and Guy, The Tudor Rose and Dragons Health and Fitness, Tesco's, Sainsbury's.

We had more entrants than ever this year including three primary schools (Holy Trinity, Pewley and Sandfield) and even a Nursey School - Harvey Road Playgroup.

Waiting for the Races to start

Hosted by PG and opened  by the Mayor Angela Gunning

Enjoyed by the children

And, once again a big thank you to our many sponsors this year

Lampard and Partners, Ringway Group, Guildford Borough Council, Gerrard, Waterstones, Tony Scott (Guilfest), Toni and Guy, The Tudor Rose and Dragons Health and Fitness, Tesco's, Sainsbury's.
